Couple from today. Spring is in the air and the bluebells are blooming in the woods.

Loving that! I can offer a crappy mobile phone version of the view from up on top of the viaduct? Taken a few years back, hence the weather!

The snowy view off the viaduct looks great. Probably worth a visit on a sunny snowy day!

I don't know when this happened or why, but I'm suddenly obsessed with Medium Format. I'm desperately trying to do man maths to buy a Mamiya RZ67 with polaroid back, but until then, I'll fake it. I really want to get this shot printed as its native file dimensions are 1 metre by 60cm.

I don't blame you. I keep wondering about selling the Sony (my 2nd - yo yo buying and selling) and sticking with film. There's nothing like a good slide or negative from 120 roll film or 4" x 5". Enough sharpness and detail but a lovely organic texture and glow I rarely see from digital. I can do 6x6, 6x7, 6x9 and 6x12cm on my Linhof, as well as 4" x 5". I have a craving for a Roelliflex or Hasselbad now! Note to self: must stop!

I've 'grown up' at the start of the digital age. My first camera was a huge point and shoot but it was digital. Then I had one jokey and drunken conversation with my girlfriend's Dad (an ex-enthusiast photographer) about how much harder it was to shoot film and he gave me all his old kit to try. One roll of film later and I'm on eBay looking for more old cameras. It's so addictive shooting film! I spend 8x as long framing every shot and the delayed gratification and risk/reward makes it thoroughly enjoyable.

Has anyone got any images of the following?:

A photographer in the cold/snow taking a picture.
A photographer with lots of equipment.
A photographer taking a picture of wildlife.

Other images of photographers might work too. The funnier the better. It must be your image. I will be using it in an article this weekend for Fstoppers and you'll get full credit under the image.

I've never thought to ask on PH before.

ETA: email them to Rob@acufocal.com please as I might not get back on here before it gets published.

+1 Excellent. How are you liking the 100-400 Chris H? I am vaguely considering it as I will have some loot soon once I sell the last of my Canon gear smile
