Impressive stuff Lloyd.
Love the details you find that clearly tell the story as well as the overall quality of the results.
I can imagine it would be very easy to be sucked into the activities around the shoot and miss the opportunities that tell the main parts of the story in single shot. You seem to get a great mix on every shoot you do.
Much appreciated, always worry I'm boring people. Love the details you find that clearly tell the story as well as the overall quality of the results.

Funnily enough I'm writing a blog post on just that. Personally speaking I think the 'human element' shots make for the most interesting and like you say, tell the main story in just a single shot. The winch operator with the submarine reflected in his visor for example! Do love coming back to this thread, it's so cool seeing the different stuff get up to!

That one on particular grabbed my attention. It works beautifully stand alone. It may be even stronger as part of a related set where it summarises the details (or, perhaps, other shots explain the details around that one. Could work both ways I would imagine, depending of the angle of the "story" being told.
I can't imagine anyone here would find your posted selections boring. They invariably offer quality and, at the very least, "interesting" content with most being well above interesting and clearly exhibiting a progression of photographic and content mastery over the years.
It's great to see, in my opinion.
And you are right, there is something about this thread that makes it a nice place to visit and guarantees, daily usually, that there will be something worth seeing from a posted offering that is a sensible and manageable size to take in.
It's been a while since I've had anything to post due to our move over to Oregon at the start of this year, but with the weather improving we took a run down to Crater Lake last Sunday.

I've just ordered large prints of these two for the walls at home. Hopefully they'll look alright once mounted and framed.
