Rob, how do you get such a clear Milky Way with what seems to be at least a bit of light pollution in the scene? Or have the lights of the town been enhanced slightly in post? Either way, this and the tress in the lake shot are superb, breathtaking pieces of photography.

^^^ Nice work Paul, these are right up with the standard on the thread
A few more with the RX10iii - for me it's the perfect camera for a day out and about when you want to take a variety of shots but not lug a lot of gear around
I have the RX100 M4. Same electronics, just not the big lens!A few more with the RX10iii - for me it's the perfect camera for a day out and about when you want to take a variety of shots but not lug a lot of gear around
They're really very good cameras for what they are aren't they!
I did think your cricket shot looked a little soft, I know in certain modes the Sony AF doesn't seem to quite get it right, but I think its just my monitor. Peeping full size on Flickr shows a nice sharp shot. Love the breaking wave image, nice and crisp!
I am finding the RX100 very good for general walking around photography. The only struggle really is getting some DoF but you can do it if you position yourself right.

Thanks. Yes they are great - very happy with mine as you will have gathered. Re the cricket shot - possibly should have shot it at f8 or so rather than f4 but there was not a lot of thought going on! They're really very good cameras for what they are aren't they!

Another from my Torridon trip
Applecross to Loch Kishorn by Christopher Marr, on Flickr
Haven't been out much with the camera due to work, midges and my new toy the Dji Phantom. Need to sort that situation, missed a few nice sunsets recently.

Did a spot of wild camping in the Lake District this weekend. It was my first time there....stunned by the beauty!

Cheers! Ha, you're telling me...especially when you've got 25kg on your back! The second day was even harder as we walked from there to the top of Red Pike, up a seemingly vertical non-existent path.PS. just checked your Flickr page - I must say you've taken some stunning pics of the Lakes!
