Lynn Cwmorthin is near Tanygrisiau in North Wales - Cwmorthin is an amazing place with it's lake and abandoned slate mine nestled in amongst the hills, you can spend hours there looking around. Once i have processed a few more I will add some of the old buildings dotted around the place - they make the place very atmospheric.

during my holiday to North Wales last week, one place that was firmly on the agenda was a walk with my camera up through the valley at Cwmorthin to explore the abandoned slate mines and quarries of Cwmorthin and Rhosydd. fantastic place to visit and although very bleak they have a haunting beauty all of their own.

Not a patch on almost everything in here, but took this last night. First attempt with an ND filter (amazon cheap job to see how it goes). Quite chuffed with the result.
