Interesting colour palette. And once the cranes are gone that's likely to be a super-clean looking structure ... but I'm not sure whether it will have "character".

I stumbled across a YouTube video earlier that had some shots of the building the (now) "old" road bridge.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IgOxglry8Dw

Mentioned just after the 12 minute mark.

Not a hi-viz jacket to be seen ....
'Interesting' is an interesting way of putting it wink It's Velvia of course - at the end of my processing I whacked the saturation down about 30% so it could have been worse! Agreed on the character comment - it's my least favorite of the 3 bridges... not a minger as such just not as pretty as the other two.

Will have a look at the video later, thanks smile
There's a sort of meaningful robustness about the earlier bridges.

The new one might be described as "svelte" or "sleek" perhaps by some. But to me, based solely on your recent images since it is 18 months since I saw it in the metal, the word that comes to mind is anorexic.

Can a bridge be anorexic looking?

Headed down to Brands Hatch on Saturday for the 'thundersport' clubmans motorcycle racing meet - I have never shot bikes before (usually stick to cars..) and had forgotten just how quick/small they are in the corners, it made 'panning' a bit tricky at times...

I've been saying that for a while. His works the reason I come back here and the reason I don't often.

First attempt at light painting a car. Yes the car is filthy and no I'm not sure about the red glow, but other than that I was quite happy for a first go.

Good grief - even the "light pollution" can be used to positive effect.

I would do something similar locally, though the hills would be replaced with industrial architecture, but I fear the camera and lenses might be damaged by the experience.
