I saw The Who play their first concert after Moon's death. Ringo Starr's son (Zach?) was on the drums. They played at a hall in Finsbury Park . Capital Radio randomly broadcast the news of first come first served tickets. I queued all night and got standing tickets. So, so loud. It was great!
Ah.That explains everything.
Maybe.
I think.
Or not.
Times change.
The Download Festival is about a mile from where I am at the moment.
Normally one can hear at least something every night. Last night and tonight - nothing obvious.
I blame health and safety. And, of course, the youngsters who seem to accept such restrictions without question.
In years past there might have been pictures of fantastic moments from the locality. No evidence of any so far this year.

What's the difference between jam and marmalade?
Marmalade is made from Seville oranges. At least, that's the original definition. Now any preserve made with citrus fruit gets to be called marmalade.
Jam is a preserve made from whole cooked fruit. If it's made from fruit juice, it's called jelly, but we still usually call it jam. In America, they call full-fruit preserves jelly as well as juice-only preserves.
