This is absolutely true.....
I handed her the little box containing the car keys on a Fiat 500 key ring. When she opened the box she exclaimed in with joy and said "darling thank you so much for my key ring" !!!!!!
What was her reaction when you told her the gift was in fact the car?I handed her the little box containing the car keys on a Fiat 500 key ring. When she opened the box she exclaimed in with joy and said "darling thank you so much for my key ring" !!!!!!
Bet her face was a picture!

She is worth 10000 Fiat 500s to me.
Long time daily lurker on this the best thread on the internet. News of the Great Handover has prompted me to re set my password in order that I can congratulate you, Blib, on a lovely, romantic story. Well done. I really enjoy this thread - shadows, fins and all.

Mrs Blib's first effort at parking her birthday present yesterday. Apparently, she didn't want to scuff the wheels.
Very sensible.Given the width of a typical parking position these days and the delightful Fiat being about half the width of a Harley Davidson there would seem to be no point at all in getting close to a kerb.
Indeed there are many good reasons not to get anywhere near the kerb, avoiding passing pedestrian scratchmeisters being one of them.
Bravo on keeping the secret and finding the car still in place after leaving it parked somewhere random overnight (assuming you stuck to the plan you mentioned a couple of weeks ago ....)
OK, I know it's taken by you and I know it's of your wife's car, so you really should be banning yourself, but that qualifies more for this thread than most of the* contributions I've seen recently.
Fantastic moment all round...glad she liked it! (how could she not...)
