The pilot seemed to spend the first half of the flight studiously ignoring the potential of any pussy (who did the pre-flight checks?) but became slightly more animated when the furry friend appeared, though one suspects that neither of his passengers were really his type.

Well, up to you of course but if I was going to pilot something like that, let alone take passengers. I think I moght look as a few of the bits that would keep me aloft and in control. Given what looks like a fairly translucent wing covering - and a few kgs of Moggy out at the end of a wing, I would like to think, possibly erroneously, that I was aware of all my passengers and their needs.
