The topic for this month is: Alternative View

Let's see some aerial views, low down angles, drone photography, or whatever alternative view you choose to convey through your image.

This thread is for entries only

Good Luck!

Pete

Rules:

The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
There will be two threads that need starting: The Entries thread to commence same time as Discussion thread. In the Entries thread only one picture should be entered. Any others you wish to discuss should be posted in the Discussion thread.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

This is becoming a habit! Killing time waiting for a flight, so here's an iPhone shot (with some Snapseed tweaking) to kick things off. It's the inside of the Hilton in Copenhagen.

Can I reserve the right to change my mind?

Thank you for your competition entries folks smile

In second place, kman - technically a great image & an alternative view.

I choose threespires as the winner - A very alternative view!

Congratulations and over to you to choose the theme for October, threespires.

Oh my goodness! What a surprise, Thanks.
kman's shot was the one I liked most.

I placed the Bentley model on a sheet of glass which was placed on the legs of an up-side-down stool.
Put my new Samsung 8.4 tablet underneath on 10 sec delay.
I removed the sky & replaced background with white & used the dodge tool to show a bit of chassis detail.
It will take me a day to think up a challenge for October.
Thanks & well done all the other entries, all great pix..

I've started a New Thread for October's competition but am unsure how to make it a 'Sticky'
Should I also start a 'Discussion' page?

Sorry to be so 'thick, I'm a relative 'newbie' to these pages.

No need to apologise, you've done nothing wrong!

You can't make the thread sticky yourself, it needs a mod to do it (but I've done so now).

I'm inclined to leave this month running without a discussion thread. They've been pretty dead in past months, so hopefully keeping it all in one place will stir up a little more activity. If it starts to get too busy we can always spin one off. I've taken the liberty of editing your October post to explain - hope that's okay.
