Well that was a bit of a disaster, we have potentially one of the best lunar eclipses in our lifetime and what happens after weeks of clear skies and hot sunny weather, it chucks it down with a solid blanket of cloud... bl**dy typical mad

It's been a poor summer for photographing the milky way generally. There havn't been exactly loads of clear nights until the past couple of weeks and for the most part when we have had clear nights the moon has interfered... oh well patience is a virtue!

Took these photos of the moon a few weeks ago using a Sony RX10M3 which I am mighty pleased with:


Hand-held at 600mm, 1/250th, F/4, ISO 100
