Yeah...I guess that's with the 18-55 lens instead.

I think I'll leave it tbh. It's really a 70D / 7D that I want.

I think my next one will be the Canon EOS M or M2.

Can put all my lens on it and its tiny... has the same processor as the 650d

Missed it in the black friday sale on amazon

lol....it's the EOS M that I've got and I just want something that's got a viewfinder and better AF for my kids sports when I need it.

How do you find it?

We have a G11 and a 450d...

I like the 450d, but its old therefore must be replace with new tech, the G11 is very good and can do all that the 450d can do but in smaller package and automatically (obviously not the lens bit).

Before buying a Black Friday deal, it's worth checking to see how much of a deal it actually is!

This sports watch thingummy, for example, has a Black Friday deal price of £69.99, but if you put it into camelcamelcamel.co.uk, it has been cheaper than that 4 or 5 times in the last 6 months.

The Samyang lens, on the other hand... If that was on at £208, it's way cheaper than it has ever been before! smile

I really really like it.

I came from an old Olympus E500 which was about 9 years old so even the M with it's shortcomings was like alien technology compared to the Olympus.

The M has great image quality, a lovely bright sharp touch screen which really is great to use. Yes the AF isn't rapid (but it's still faster than my old Olympus full fat DSLR) and to be honest it never presents me with any problems.
The best bit about it though is the size.....it is really small. I actually take it with me with the 22mm prime lens attached almost everywhere these days...I even take it to work. Something you couldn't do with a DSLR.

Wish some deals would come up on Nikon lenses. They never do though because quality costs and tat like Samyang is a waste of money.
Nothing wrong with the samyang 14mm. Well Ok it has some distortion but thats fixable, but its super sharp and unlike nikon/canon lenses well corrected for coma and astigmatysm.

Just posted this in Computers & Gadgets black friday thread, hopefully it's ok to use this thread as it's of more interest in this forum.

http://www.srsmicrosystems.co.uk/black-friday-deal...

Bags and binocs are a LOT cheaper than anywhere else, Oly EM5 kit and Oly 75mm look good deals. Pentax lenses are all same prices as Amazon and elsewhere so not worth bothering with.
