Hi all,

I've not put one together for a while. Where is generally regarded as the best place (quality/value) for getting books printed of images. I want to put one of the kids together for my mum for xmas. Prob 40 pages, hardback A4, nice glossy/silk finish on good quality paper. Something that will last.

Cheers,

PBLP

Blurb.co.uk - perfect! Of course I had to go for the top paper etc, so not cheap but as these are xmas gifts I want them to be high quality.

I buy (and sell) about 200 a year from Blurb. They are consistently good.

Can I ask what paper stock you prefer, or thoughts on their options? I've just had a request for a book to be done for Christmas. I'm going to use Blurb, as I hear good things and I can do it from Lightroom, but having never used them before I don't have a chance to test them out. It's family not a paying client so it's not the end of the world if it's not perfect, but it would be nice to get it right. (My usual album supplier can't now deliver for Christmas, cutoff was last month.)

I use the regular stuff. It's fine. Expensive stuff is 'smoother' and thibcker.

Today is the last day for standard delivery for Christmas.

Thanks. I ordered Premium Lustre in the end and it is very nice. When I've got more time i might order a few test books or the swatch set of different papers. It is a much better made book overall than I'd thought it would be in fact. I ordered it on Saturday, paid for premium delivery as I couldn't risk it not arriving, and it came today, although if FedEx had got their act together it would have been here on Wednesday.
