I own a 6D and am trying to ween my self off Auto mode, I have been very happy with the results so far, however, playing around with the menu, I have changed something that won't allow me to manually change the ISO setting, HELP please!

Have you set it to Auto ISO by mistake?
Your manual or Google should be able to tell you straight away how to turn it off.

Yes it is on auto, assumed when in that mode, you could manually select. So what menu setting should I have it on then? On holiday at the moment and don't have my manual with me.

I don't have the 6D but if it's the same as the others I have, you will have a Q button on the body. Press that and it will open up the quick menu. Move the cursor to the ISO segment and select it. You'll then be able to scroll to whichever ISO speed you want.
