Don't think there has ever been one... so I thought I'd start with a few of mine.

I love black and white images. I'm not very good at them yet but keep trying.

There's a photographer I follow on Flickr called Scott Baldock whose mono work I really like.

One of my all time favourite black and white landscapes and I have been to a lot of the big exhibitions in London that showcase that sort of stuff. Truly superb. bow

Good idea for a thread too. As much as I like it, I'm not great at B&W, here are my contributions though:

An obvious one from me, we were on honeymoon in NYC just before Christmas, spent the last night at a place called Z Hotel which has pretty cool views back to Manhatten. I like this one

This one is a film scan, just the print not the neg of when we were at Whitby Abbey

Same roll, I like doing candid street portraits of people busking, with consent. I just let them get on with it and wait til I'm ready to shoot something. This guy was also in Whitby

And a bit of Stonehenge to finish off

ETA: Forgot me Morecambe Bay one!

Damn good idea, shame you had to set the bar so high from the outset, here's a few of my efforts.

And probably my favourite.

Don't take this the wrong way but what is it you like about that?

Each to his own etc. but several things. The tone, the light, the softness, the shapes and interlinking, patterns etc. perhaps most of all though, the memory of it - taken on a Zorki 4 rangefinder as a kid and gaining a love I never lost.
Ah that makes sense - from your previous post I thought you had bought it.

No, crossed wires due to my conflating two things, the personal buying preferences and then a couple of the very few BW pictures I've ever done. Most of my stuff has been colour, regularly over painted once printed on canvas etc. then re-photographed, and often abstract.

Never had a darkroom, which I really regret, but intend getting into the digital darkroom aspect once I get myself sorted with a PC, software etc. stuck with an iPad and iPhoto for the last few months.
Look forward to seeing more of your work - the 'Random' thread is always handy smile

Ps - nice name change!
