One from a recent Gaz Coombes gig I went to, taken with my RX100. It is not tack sharp, but captures the emotion of the performance I felt which I was pleased with smile

Hah - some would say that is a good thing! Yes I am happy with it. It's a wee bit bigger than I would like so if they ever bring out the 150D I would be very interested (according to rumour it was meant to be out 6 months ago!). I'm using mainly a 15-85 with it which again is great - sort of a crop version of a 24-105. Not very fast but good focal length and sharp.

I do keep fancying a Fuji XT-1 or maybe Sony A6000 but I'm not convinced on the lenses... I am also (finally!) suffering from a bit of gear buying/selling fatigue. Not sure If I could be bothered switching to a whole new system.

And... dare I whisper it... for the first time in 5 years since I took it up I might just be cooling off a bit on this lark - the thought of going out of an evening to get star trail shots or some other silliness is not quite as appealing as it used to be. Maybe just a passing phase of course - time will tell smile
Sorry mate, I missed your reply to this. I see you've posted a few since so it's good to see you've regained a bit of enthusiasm. I know what you mean about mustering the enthusiasm to change. It is ultimately about taking photo's and not about the gear I guess. I love the small discreet size of the EOS M (and a couple of the lenses are superb) but I keep eying up bigger DSLR's. Now I've got into using lightroom as well I can appreciate the potential benefits of a different sensor that allows you to pull more out of the shadows etc.

Ho hum.....I've got kids pressies to buy for Xmas so treating myself will have to wait.

Oh lucky you! I reckon you'll be very happy with the Fuji biglaugh Do you have to wait until the 25th to play with it? Don't think the 760 is for me. I've got my eye on the price of the 100D and if I was gonna go bigger then I think it would have to be the 70D.

Anyways for reasons unknown I snapped a couple of B&W buildings this week....

Nice shot André! Liking the tones in the sides of the building. I was only partly serious about the 760 as I want to run the two systems for a while to see if I gel with the Fuji - and yes Santa is very old fashioned about waiting until Christmas xmas

I had a 100D before the 760D by the way and really liked it, but what about upgrading your M? The latest one has the new sensor as per the 750/760... smile

Very nice David. Did you use one of the presets or do your own conversion?

Mike

A few little tweaks in Lightroom, the into Silver Efex Pro, selected one of the presets, then adjusted Brightness, Contrast and Structure, Added edge softening, tweaked levels, exported back into LR, increased sharpness, and whacked up detail (Fuji RAFs can take it!), then exported and uploaded.
