Some awesome entries as always, well done one and all.
As with any photographic competition there will be a degree of subjectivity involved, so you may or may not agree with my choices, variety being the spice of life and all that.

Really like the simplicity of this, you get a feeling how hard the little ant is working. The shallow depth of field focuses the eye on the subject and isolates it perfectly.2nd

Sums up the theme of the competition nicely, very contemplative and leaves the viewer wondering what the monk is considering. Nicely composed.1st

Really enigmatic, fits the theme perfectly, the black and white removes the distraction of colour which I think would have weakened the shot. Really like this. Well done, over to you.An honourable mention to Rob for this,
