Mike, it looks like this might actually be bought within the last 12 months, so you may be ok.
(I've actually bought it twice, once a boxed version of Silver Efex Pro, a few years ago, and then about 18 monthgs ago, the full Nik suite from Google, neither of which I can claim for!!!)
Cheers - hope so! Will wait and see if any refund appears (not holding breath..) (I've actually bought it twice, once a boxed version of Silver Efex Pro, a few years ago, and then about 18 monthgs ago, the full Nik suite from Google, neither of which I can claim for!!!)
This fairly tickled me - shows the zoom range on the new Sony RX10iii. 24mm v 600mm (and still at f4!)

eta - check the detail in this at 600mm Time to throw away the DSLRs ? (it looks better on his website - see link above)

He's just done another article, comparing it to the Olympus Pen-F and the new OM 300mm lens. It holds up well at screen size.

I wonder if whoever created it will make any money out of it?
I neither like nor dislike it myself, but who among us has never 'enhanced' a picture and given nature a helping hand?
It's free world of course but for me it's 'digital art' rather than photography I neither like nor dislike it myself, but who among us has never 'enhanced' a picture and given nature a helping hand?
(And yes of course I enhance/bugger up every shot!)

Any tips for getting a decent pic of the strawberry moon? I've got a d700 with a range of lenses. Am I right in thinking a longer tele lens will be better to make it appear bigger?
Yep - the longer the focal length you have the better. Suggest tripod + remote shutter release (or 2 sec delay). Focus manually on live view to get it perfect then use something like f8, 1/400 and iso 400 (on manual mode). You need to keep a decent shutter speed as it moves surprisingly quickly Sell your cameras folks and get one of these instead!

Thought I would wake this one up as I need some advice
Currently have Fuji XT20 + 80mm + 10-24 + 15-45 + 18-135
Have been finding the XT20 a bit fiddly to hold - too small really - and potential options are: buy an XT2, wait for the XT3 or... chop the whole lot in and switch to Sony! Had a go on the A7ii today in a shop and it felt very nice to hold and really no bigger than the Fuji XT2 which surprised me. Lens wise I would be looking at the 90mm macro + 16-35 f4.
I could swap the whole lot via MBP and it would be 'broadly' cost neutral ( ) but would it be a good idea... any thoughts appreciated!

Okay. As long as it's not just a FF thing too
I think there's a bit of that - better resolution + dynamic range I think with the Sony FF sensors. Also, much as I love Fuji, I feel a wee bit conned as the system is not really any smaller than the FF Sony system, or for that matter much cheaper either...Hi All.
Thought I would wake this thread up with further witterings - amused to see the last post was me thinking about going full frame... anyhoo - now I am thinking about micro four thirds!
Logic is as follows: I fancy the panny 100-400 for birdy stuff (not too big and heavy and 'relatively' cheap + 800mm equivalent) and also the 60mm for macro (small, light, cheap, sharp and good working distance at 1:1) - I would keep the Fuji + 10-24 for landscapes.
So I could pick up a mid range MFT body (GX8/9 maybe or G8/9 - not sure yet) + the above two lenses and chop in my Fuji 80mm and maybe my beloved Sony RX10iii (again 'broadly' cost neutral )
Anybody shooting MFT? Thoughts as to good idea/bad idea?
Cheers

I've got a couple of GH5s that I use for shooting video, not really done any still stuff with them though I daresay they would cope alright. The Panasonic lenses seem very good for the money.
Thanks - yes, my thoughts exactly on the lenses. That 60mm macro in particular looks really good value DavidY said:
There isn't a lot of price difference between the Panasonic 100-400 and the Fujifilm 100-400, the 1.4xTC would give you the same reach.(There is £10 cashback on the Fuji at the moment). I've always found running two systems gets expensive and there is inevitable duplication, combined with decisions about which kit do I take, then you end up taking it all and the weight saving is lost!!!
Thanks David. You're right about running two systems but the Fuji 100-400 ... wow it's huge! I rented one for a day and just couldn't get my head around lugging it about - also took a few (very unscientific) test shots against my RX10iii and I really couldn't tell much difference. The Fuji 80mm macro is also huge and weighs a ton as well so the very small and light 60mm panny macro is very appealing (and the Panasonic bodies I am looking at can do focus bracketing but my X-T20 can't).I'm going to go to the local Wex and see what they've got that I can have a play with
