Flickr PRO - is it worth it?
Discussion
I have been wondering whether to upgrade my account as I quite like the expanded stats. On the other hand it is $50 and the stats are nothing much more than an ego stroking (or not!). I already have an Adobe cc subscription and not sure if I would get an extra 20% off that. So, has anyone gone PRO and iwhat do you think?

I don't think it is. Then again I am not a power user. I just use it as a place to stick my photos and share them. I don't particularly care who's looking. I used to have pro when it got you more space. Now free accounts get the same storage as pro or if they don't the free storage is more than ample (1 TB I believe). I would have been able to stick on pro for the original price which was much lower than the new one, but even at that, it didn't seem worth it for what I wanted it for.
Personally, I think the money is better spent on your own website if you want something more serious than simply storage and sharing.

I see I'm a "Pro" for purely legacy reasons. Originally it was all about storage space, now apathy keeps me with the "comfortable" familiarity of Flickr.
But I couldn't tell you, without looking, what advantage I get over a free subscription! I suspect it's nothing tangible to most users, but I would like to ensure I get top-quality images displaying/storing for some things.
Mostly - and on a slight tangent - Flickr is brilliant for browsing friends' (including PHers, many of whom I class as friends) recent work, getting inspiration and helping understand how shots have been taken.... That's probably the most value to me.

Pro used to be about £20 a year. Then they closed it down, now brought it back for over twice that..
All it really gets you is add free and stats, stats are nice, the best thing about them is you can see where people have come from to view your image so see where it is getting out too
