I'm gutted my Canon 35-350 'L' has just failed - I get a 'communication error' message on camera display.
Surfing various forums It would appear that one of the internal lens flexy cables has broken. Can anyone recommend a good repairer where I can get it sorted quickly?

+1

Used Fixation in the past to fix lenses and a body, and they have been great, and reasonably priced.

Fixation are pretty well regarded, I had a 300 f4 sent there under warranty (used purchase) and they were quick.

The only thing working against you is parts. Is the lens still supported by Canon? if not sourcing the parts could be tricky.

What I need is a repairer who's used to fixing the 35-350, which I accept is a lens no longer repaired in house by Canon. What I don't need is a repairer using my lens as a guinea pig to how to fix A 35-350 at my expense [AND TIME].
Anyone had a 35-350 repaired in UK??

Have you contacted canon service at Elstree?

I'd be surprised if they couldn't help.

Try H. Lehmann in Stoke. Official Canon repair centre.

They have been around for years. Just call and ask them if they can do it and if they will do it in good time.

I got my 100-400 stripped and repaired by Advanced Camera Services up in Norfolk. Very please with their service and wasn't too dear.
