Good morning smile

We move into our new gaff in Devon a couple of weeks and we would like to try and get a decent picture of the house and the land it comes with.

Standing and taking a pic with a camera wont cut it, we are looking for something a bit like this (but unfortunately the subject is much, much less interesting):

How would this have been taken?

Who/what type of company would offer this service?

Thank you smile

Don't you know a mate with a drone?
Ask on the DJI forums see if someone will do you a favour who is local to you.

laugh took me a minute before I saw the typo

No, nobody I know local has a drone, 2 of my mates had phantoms but they have broken and interest has been lost so not interested in fixing them.

Just advertise in the local rag for anyone with a drone. They'll be hundreds.

I did this (amongst others) for a neighbour who wants to holiday let:

..and this for the local hotel:

Just be aware that if you are in a built up area the drone pilot will need permission. You can't just fly anywhere (legally).

I would do this, but don’t they need to be licensed and registered now days?

I assumed I would have to use a proper company with the right paperwork etc?

Fantastic pictures by the way, exactly what I am after, and no we are not built up, in the middle of nowhere with 12 acres.

Ex colleague of mine has gone through the certification with CAA for this. From what I remember he had to produce a full operations manual, has certs for each of his drones and then the insurances on top.

Post on http://phantompilots.com/ - I am sure someone local to you would be able to sort you out.

No. If it's on your land and the drone won't be with 50 yards of the neighbours, then they don't need a licence. Officially they *SHOULD* if they take money from you.

ETA: of course someone who takes it seriously enough to get CAA certification is likely (but not certain) to produce better shots. Also, you need to establish the time of day when the sun is in the right position for the shot you need, or the photographer will have a wasted journey and have to come back.
