Autofocus failed on Canon 16-35 F4L

Hi all,

Has anyone had this before on a canon lens? I'm on holiday atm, and was hoping I'd be able to kick it back into life. The autofocus stopped working as I was taking photos and hasn't worked since. I've tried toggling a lot on the switch to no avail. Camera focuses fine with a 24-105.

Any ideas, or will this have to go back to Canon?

Luckily there is a Canon repair centre in Elstree :-)

Thanks guys. Have just cleaned the contacts with no luck. I'm actually in Japan and headed to Tokyo in a few days, but I bought the lens from HK in Feb. Does anyone know if the warranty is worldwide (so that I can get it looked at in Tokyo), or will it have to go back to HK?
