Hi,

I think I moved the dial on my camera when taking a series of outdoor photographs. They have come out very blue. See:

What is the best way to salvage something from the debacle?

I've got Photoshop 7 and PhotoPlus X8. I've been experimenting but not having much luck getting them to an acceptable level.

Were you shooting RAW or JPEG? If RAW then you should be able to change white balance/colour temp.

As mentioned, easy to fix if you were shooting RAW. If only JPG then go for the TEMP slider and head towards WARM

The controls I have for Potos'p on image adjustment are:

levels, curves, balance, hue/saturation, replace, selection, channel mixer, gradient map. I keep trying various ones but whilst many give a slight improvement I'm really just wandering. Is there one, or perhaps two, that I should concentrae on?

If you want to send me an original file, I'll have a go and tell you what I did

That's very kind of you, Steve. I'll take you up on it. I normally check the first image after switching the camera off. The one time I forgot . . .

YHM.

Looks like you took photos as if indoors under flash or something.

All I did was warm it up in Lightroom... same would go for PS - took TEMP to the right (not sure what colour the grass was, so left it as was)

I have to say, if you shoot raw, this would be SOOOOOOOO easy to fix. Jpg editing is mostly damage limitation.

Thanks for that, Steve. The top dial on my Lumix is too easy to move. Normally I feel when I've touched it, so to speak, but I missed this time.

Perhaps a new camera?

Cheers,

Derek

No, just be more careful next time and if colour accuracy is important, shoot RAW.

PS Great job Steve, I thought it was a different photo!

I think it's one of them new fangled jobbies that lets you choose the angle and framing in post production.
