Nikon D5100 issues

Hi
Before I send the bloody thing off to Nikon for repair does anyone have any bright ideas on how to fix my camera?
It wont switch on, put in a fully recharged the battery nothing happens. Ok I thought my battery is duff so I bought some a new battery, charged it and still nothing.
Memory card is in and is a good one, lens is seated in properly (tried with several different ones)
I cant think of anything else to try.

Sounds like a good excuse to buy a new one to me

Be interested to know how much this costs you to repair seeng as how I have the same model camera.
