October 2016 Photo Competition - Autumn Colours
Discussion
This months competition is Autumn Colours. Pretty self explanatory - nice and topical up here I hope and any of our antipodean contributors can dig one out from last year . Let's see if we can get into double figures of entries this month!
Rules
The photos taken must be your own work
The competition will run from the first to the last day of the month.
The winner from the previous month decides on the topic for following month and judges it at the end of the month
Entries and discussion on this single thread please.
All entrants acknowledge that they may indeed win and that their adherence to convention ensures everyone else's continued fun.
Photos entered should be no bigger than 750 pixels wide for a landscape photo and 600 pixels high for a portrait photo due to the PH squash factor. Links to larger versions are permissible.

Seeing as most people are going for detail, I've decided to enter a wider shot from a busy Central Park as the trees are starting to turn....

stiCan't compete with Robs but this was taken 2 weeks ago in Vermont , unfortunately I was a bit early ( or autum was late) as leaves had only just started turning, but I did spot this one amongst the greenery

Despite reading how to post pictures, I still can't get the damn thing to work!
Ok, so I would like to amend my entry to this pleaseStill some way off autum here in NY (80degrees today!) but i still like the colour, i might replace it in a weeks time though, same picture, just more tree colour i hope!

I don't think the trees are going to be colourful enough round here for this. So I'm going to go with some different 'Autumn colour' from last year

I know selective colour is usually frowned upon, however this is one of my better 'autumnal' shots...

Been a while since I have picked up my camera or posted on here, thought I would submit this one from a trip to Oslo a couple of years ago.
