Hi

I am heading to Australia in about a month with my wife.

We have quite a nice trip planned, some of it I have done before so hopefully some form of relaxation could be a possibility! However, we are bringing our DSLRs which is all fine (I still need to sort a tripod out if anyone has any amazing deal suggestions).

One part of this trip will almost certainly involve us doing some surfing and snorkeling - the question I really have is what camera would be best for this to capture our silly moments and possibly a few dolphin/turtle close-ups. I don't want to buy a new camera for all of this, so I was pondering on a legacy GoPro off eBay. But not sure what to look at with these either really.

I guess I'm looking for cheapskate waterproof 4K and jpeg shots or something like that!

Any help very appreciated!

Cheers

For surfing etc GoPros are great. Picture quality isn't anything like a DSLR, but I find it fun to use due to the angles you can get.

GoPro is your best bet but don't buy from Ebay.

GoPro refurbished shop will save you lots of money with full warranty and as new camera:

FWIW.

We had a big OZ holiday, and in addition to the DSLR we took.

Small mirrorless camera - Probably used for the majority of shots.

Fuji XP90 - Cheap as chips and remarkably capable. No 4k though.
