Nikon D7000 help with lens choice

Screw it I found another Nikon 70-300 VR at a cracking price and just bought it. I am now very happy with my 35mm Nikon prime and I know I will be happy with the 70-300

My advice; stick this on the front of your camera and leave it there.

Only attach the zoom when you have perfected the use of the 35mm.

Not much use for birding though. Choose the lens for job.

True. And that's better advice than mine.

However I am delighted with the 35mm on a D7100 and think that it's simplicity is helping my photography immensely, hence the recommendation!
