Any D500 owners ?
Discussion
If I was t be buying a new camera right now it would be between the D500 and a D750.
Of course the latter is full frame so the big debate in my hypothetical self discussion is why would I buy a D500 when the D750 is a very similar price - what does a good crop camera offer that's better than a good full frame when they are at very similar price points?

Extra reach if that's important, smaller/lighter/cheaper lenses if that's important.Of course the latter is full frame so the big debate in my hypothetical self discussion is why would I buy a D500 when the D750 is a very similar price - what does a good crop camera offer that's better than a good full frame when they are at very similar price points?
The main difference to the results regardless of which oscilloscope shows 0.4% lower noise will be the human behind the viewfinder.
I've had one for a while. Very capable once you get the hang of it.
As I wasn't upgrading from a recent Nikon pro body, I went along to a 1/2 day D500 workshop Simon Stafford runs which got me up to speed with it much faster than if I'd have played around with myself for several days/weeks. Taught me a lot about the AF and metering in particular and I've changed my setup in a few areas which should give me better results.
The only real disappointment for me was that it eats batteries if you use it for video, but that may not bother most owners who rarely use it that way.

I have the D500 for about 3 months now.
It does eat batteries, but if you turn it to flight mode it turns off the wifi/Bluetooth and saves so much power.
Also if you have any of the older EL-15 batteries Nikon have a battery replacement program
