I have a Cokin multi-image filter that I rarely used in my 35mm days but did take one photo with it that I really liked. The Cokin manual recommended 'Use a focal length between 50 mm and 105 mm. Choose an average aperture (f5.6 to f11).'

So with my Nikon D7200 what focal length and aperture range ought I be using? Does anyone have any experience of the this filter on a DX body?

The 7200 is a 1.5 crop so 35mm to about 85mm would be fine, same aperture range really (f4-f8 ish)

I think the issue is possible vignetting. This can be detected easily using the Mark 1 Eyeball smile
