Think you're right there martin.
Still good pics and i know it was a preliminary shoot etc but looking at all the broadside pics there is nothing to soften the line between ground and sky.

Blimey, this'll ↑ teach me not to post anything sub-standard Honestly can't see any huge latency issues between car & sky - don't really think a grad would have helped. Given that they were all shot RAW I could easily produce a dark exposure for the sky, but honestly don't think the images REALLY need it.... Oh well, hopefully the next lot will be a bit higher quality

I'agree with Poah...they would have helping bring the car and the sky closer together tonally, reducing the contrast between the two, thus making it easier to look at. IMHO.

Martin.

PS - you can do it in PS as well

do you really thing TD wants to reduce the contrast in his photos???

next you'll be saying they are oversaturated

As I have said before on here, if your happy then thats all that really matters as long as they are your shots. If they are for a "Punter", then if they are happy then thats fine also. People can be really anal about pics sometimes.

Right mouse click > copy, paste into PS. Merge both using history brush. Save. Of you go then...

I don't see how - there doesn't seem to be any exposure problems between the car and the sky

down to personal choice I suppose

TD...don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the images, just stating a personal preferance. I love these photos, as I have all your other work here. Can't wait to see the 'full' shoot!

Martin.

I have to agree with Martin - I like the sky on the first one and the detail in the CSL on the second.

And, as with Martin's post, in NO WAY a criticism of your work - quite the opposite. I think you take stunning pictures and envy your talent!

Im not sure anal is the right word. Some people just like to pay attention to detail.

don't worry, I don't think he was offended - he's just a bit upset about the football....

The main problem, IMHO, is that the car is the wrong colour.

CSL's in black always look too anonymous to be interesting. On the road that may be advantageous of course. In some situations.

Now the dark grey ones, they always look the part.

Au contrair, I'd have to say that black is the best CSL colour IMHO - crap for photographs but looks great on the car, gives it a fantastic aggressive feel.
