After lots of though I got my inspiration from looking out of the office window, a scene I look at every day the industrial world. New, Old its all around us. Go out take some pictures of you view of the industrial world. Im sure each picture will tell its own little story

As for "rules", I don't think there should be many other than within the rules of the forum, nothing offensive, nothing illegal, one pic per member, keep it friendly and the criticism constructive. A good image is a good image whether it's taken this week or 50 years ago, straight off the camera or pleasingly manipulated. I'm just interested in seeing the results and maybe picking up some tips.
I think it's worth stressing the one piccy per person. I think last month got a bit silly, I for one had 4 up at one point so deleted a couple. There's no reason you can't change the photo, but the one that's up on the 31st is the one getting judged. Or am I speaking out of turn?

Seems fair to me. If you post one then change your mind or take another photo you prefer, enter that instead but delete your original post to avoid confusion.
Could run with a preliminary thread, so that people can share images they wish to share while they think about the final submission, and then an 'Entries' thread into which one posts the one (and only one, unless the entry is somehow a themed group) you settle on for the end of the month.
In effect that would emulate _dobbos_ accumulation of entries prior to judging and offer the benefits that that brought to the party.

i think that sounds good. With a week to go there should be a new thread where everyone posts their entries with no coments at all - just the pics
I like the idea of seperate but what about having a discussion thread, where we discuss and a submission thread, where we submit?
One per member in the "submission" thread with no discussion just relevant info posted with the pic, with "discussion" thread a free for all or opinions of which of several to post etc.
Submissiond could be changed and updated until the end of the month when the reviewer can review.
I know that come the end of the month it's a tough job to review (I actually saved them all offline) and having two threads would keep the display of the images neater.
It would be as if the submission thread was the gallery and the discussion thread would be the accompanying pamphlet
