Here's my humble effort, a bit of now dead industry in Whitehaven, Cumbria:

Here is our local power station creating its own weather system.

I thought this would make an interesting test shot for the cloud exposure so stoppped the car and rattled off a couple of frames. Later I realised that I had left the settings in "Night" mode. The out of the camera result look a bit odd in terms of sharpness and contrast even if one plays around a bit so I thought I would try a sepia filter.

Now last night on my tft monitor the darker of the two looked quite moody. But this morning, in daylight, it just looked dull, so I lightened it a bit.

Posting here is really just a test to see what they look like after being webbed - but if anyone has any comments about how the images look on on their screens I would be interested. I guess with sepia the screen colour temperature setting in use would be very critical to the results observed.

Oh well, a bit of use of the delete option has rendered me looking stupid!

By the way, love your shot Joust!

Thanks - I came across it yesterday when I was sorting through my digital piccies to organise them.

Sort of evokes the skill of humans in building beautiful, but industrial, buildings.

Excellent picture, very imaginative. Looks like the exposure is spot on too.

I've a few more from different angles that I'll dig out when I get home.

I've never posted a pic on here before so I hope this one works. Taken a few years ago now at Roker Docks in the NE. I really liked the guy on the deck which I didn't notice when I took the shot.

Sorry _dobbo_ !

I guessed I would end up with multiple posts after the 'problems' so planned to check and delete (don't remember hitting the send quite that many times though).

But you got in before I could tidy up my excesses. Had they been 2 liners I might have left them - but not with the full 3 pic display.

Sorry!
