Quite a few people expressed an interest in meeting up for some photography stuff in London when we were discussing cameras a month or two back - are people still keen?

I propose a Sunday morning/afternoon/lunch sort of thing sometime around about June. Could meet up and play with our toys, and maybe do a similar thing to the monthly photo competition too. I think a good place would be the South Bank or around that general area, suggestions are welcome....

So, if you are interested say so now and we'll go from there.

Nice colour!"

Pretty much like that - except more of a Ricer meet than the normal TVR one...

You could go up the OX....................

*ahem*

er - Fly on the Eye, anyone?

South Bank sounds great - I also think a wander round Covent Garden pretending you're a grockle is fun.....

South Bank is a cracking spot, possibly better first and last thing on the day.

Plus there's the delightful Riviera.. hmm...

Don't think I have any Sundays in June available due to car shows but like the idea.

shame - I can't do Saturdays because I'm always working then

edit - having said that, I'm free on the 4th of June, so that could be a possible date?

How about somewhere just outside London so non-Londoners can get there a bit easier?

London's full of great opportunities, one of my favourites when I was living in town was sunday morning, through Regents Park to Camden and up through the market.
A target rich environment for photographers like what we are...!

(Also not short of watering holes if that's part of the plan)

If you fancy trying your skills on a moving target, you might like to join me on the PH Roadshow at Rougham Airfield, Bury Sy Edmunds on Sunday 21 August. It's in the middle of Suffolk so OK to reach from London, and as MrBrettGuy will testify, well worth the trip. Free entry with nice car too

I didn't mean to hijack the thread (sorry if it seemed like that). If you want architecture, cityscapes etc then no contest. I was just thinking of a place you could go where there are trees, oxygen and where planes can zoom about excitingly without hitting anything. And you get to see other nice cars, not an Underground train

Except trains on a Sunday. Sundays are engineeringworksdays for those who live anywhere near the West Coast Main Line.

Much as I'd love to meet you all and learn from you, nothing on this planet is going to get me on a 2 hour bus journey!!

I'm certainly going to try my best to the PH show after an earlier heads-up from John but a stroll through the nature in Regents park, a couple of jars and a review in the edinboro castle and then some colourful street shots in Camden would probably be an interesting couple of hours.
And similar the theme thread (not competition) it would be nice to see different aproaches to the same subjects...

And if people brought a good selection of gear, maybe an opportunity to try stuff out and mabe make some direct comparisons.

Just thinking aloud....

That's the best idea yet - let's all meet up in the West Indies!
