Some sagaris pics and others
Discussion
On the mendip blat yesterday I bagged a passenger ride in a sagaris, and spent half the day hanging out the window trying to get a good shot and not drop the camera!
Could do with VR on my lens (or IS or whatever nikon calls it) but got a couple I'm quite pleased with.
Who can spot the photoshop cheating in two of these?

don't you just loving hanging out of car windows face gets cold though lol
lovely shot
Thanks! Yep, face gets cold, and breathing can be hard as well! Then there was the fact that I didn't have a strap attached to the camera so the hand cramp from gripping the camera so hard was nice too!

Would be the other photoshopped one? Can see the effect of the history brush above the rider's helmet and rear wheel and can of the bike and the rear of the murcie.
That's the one! You can infact see artifacts from use of the smudge tool rather than the history brush, but the locations you mention are correct.
I've since done a better job of it so hopefully it's a tiny bit less obvious.
Personally I think messing about in photoshop is a valid part of the workflow - and the part I enjoy just as much as taking the pictures.

Nice photos mate! I like the lambo and bike. Id love to get my lunchhooks on that murcielago, looks very photogenic. I remember you doing some with it and a 360 a while back which were good also.
Matt
Cheers Matt! I've been thinking about it and I reckon my technique is the antithesis of yours - I just blast away and hope for the best, whereas you prepare a lot more for your shoots.
However I think I would swap my results for yours if I could! Ultimately even my best shot is never as good as I would have hoped and that comes down to lack of preparation and a lack of care when I'm shooting.

don't have the car going fast.
I had 4 attempts at this pic. smooth road and slow car speed.
If I may gatecrash here... In Ben's (_Dobbo_'s) defence, we weren't there to stage a shot... rather it was an opportunity as we were out on a blat.
I personally love the photo (as i'm ahead in the Murci ), and it's going on the wall!
We have pencilled in a proper staged session though. May well be over the next Bank Holiday weekend, so if any local photographers fancy a go, feel free to get in contact.

The shot was originally taken at 1/4000th or something like that, so everything was pretty much frozen. To give it a bit of life I selected the three vehicles, inverted the selection then used the motion blur->zoom option to give the impression of motion.
Works reasonably well but the copy I used here has been a little over sharpened which doesn't help, and I didn't spend nearly as long on it as I would have needed to for no-one to notice the problems as you have done.
Still on the whole I'm pleased with it, and one man's "cheating" is another man's "I don't care if it's cheating I like it so there!"
