Any good online camera shops?
Discussion
hi,
i want to get a new digicam (maybe a sony t3 (one of the slim ones) or something like that). does anyone know any good and reliable online camera shops?
i am looking to buy it online as it seems that you can get them cheaper online than on the highstreet.
im not looking for people to slag off bad companies. can you just tell me if there are any very reputable companies or if there are any that people know to be absolutely rubbish (eg take ages because ship from other countries etc)
thanks for your help

I've yet to have a problem with any on-line shops.
what he said
www.Pixmania.com
Bought a T1 off them last year - excellent price and pretty quick delivery
But I see that the black one's out of stock... they appear to have the silver one... here

I've had "issues" with warehouse express.
No problems with Park Cameras or College Cameras for a variety of stuff.
If you're near a Jessops, go for a price match and at least then you can handle the goods and have a play before commiting.
I'd be interested to hear what happened. I've found them to be very good
Yes, most people I talk to have.
Mine revolved around a multi part order, lack of stock, part shipments, failed deliveries and refunds.
Not a huge deal, but inconvenient and costly enough to put me off.
With the marketplace as competitive as it is, the details make all the difference....

www.7dayshop.com/ pretty much beats everything that's out there. They are in Guernsey so they are taxed differently but there's nothing to worry about import wise as they use good old Royal Mail.
If just blown £1500 with them and they were £250 cheaper than anything else I could find apart from importing it from Hong Kong.
e.g.
Canon EF Zoom Lens - 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 IS USM
7dayshop - £289
fotosense - £370
pixmania - £417
Canon EF 28-135mm f3.5/5.6 IMAGE STABILISER USM
7dayshop - £289
cameras2u - £339
pixmania - £369
You really will struggle to beat them!

I notice your in the South West. If you live near Plymouth, check out the best price you can get on the web, then give Ron (manager) a call at Jessops.
I'm 99% sure he'll pricematch it.
I have recently bought another digital camera & bundled deal (512 card, mini tripod, cleaning kit, battereries & fast charger). I found several good deals on the web, went to my local Jessops and they matched the same deal. The great thing about going local was I could handle & play with both cameras I had web info on before commiting to the one I bought.
