Second outing for my 100-400L lens, still getting the hang of it, glad I got it though. Any comments or criticisms welcome. One question, what shutter speed do you find best to get nice motion blur on the backgrounds, without getting movement in the subject?

Depends on your panning speed, but I normally find 1/60th to 1/200th is a good range.

Also at Brands. Did you manage to get infront of the fencing and if so how? Some more pics here

Pleased with this one as panning at 1/25 at 110mm but will take some work on PS to get rid of fencing.

Nice pics of planes. Only had 300mm lens and up at Druids so no chance there.

Just seen your comment on other thread you started. Thanks

I was parked on South Bank, so alot of my pictures was from there. looking down onto Graham Hill bend and Cooper straight. I also ventured into the bit between Hailwood and Druids/Graham Hill.
Some nice pictures there as well, Rex!

My car was filthy before I got there, just extra dusty by the time I left.
