Why is the photo so small? It's 750px wide!
Probably because you hit the 250KB limit on PhotoBucket, so the auto-resize feature kicked in and reduced the dimensions of the saved image enough to bring the filesize under the limit...
But it's only 231KB!

Hmm. If the original, 750px-wide, copy is only 231KB, then my guess would be that the PB upload mechanism got it wrong and resized the image anyway - presumably you've tried re-uploading it?
Edit: ah, inbetween me starting to write this reply, getting sidetracked into looking at something else, then coming back and finishing it off, I see you've already re-uploaded it at a smaller filesize which appears to have done the trick...

Really, for a man who posts pix as much as you, you should know these things! PH is limited to, and resizes larger images than, 750 pixels wide. That's a sensible step because it was getting a bit out of hand.
However there is no *definite* relation between image size (X x Y pixels) and file size (Kb).
So, as PH will reduce any image to 750 pixels side, if you are preparing an image to post, you may as well make it that size first, sharpen if required, then use a JPG compression to get it down to about 100Kb. There's really no point in making it any bigger; a monitor wil lose any minor difference in quality anyway.
Nice flower BTW

Not boring at all Martin, in fact your photos of flowers inspired me to go out yesterday and explore my garden a little more
Not quite on a par with your ones but I'm quite pleased with a couple of them. All taken with the 350D and 18-55 or 28-80 that came with my EOS500 film camera and a few might have been with the 75-300 just to see what different effects I got with each lens.
