That is the definition of quality over quantity. Absolutely superb pics, you can almost see right up schuey's nose!

Looks like you had a good vantage point! And good access as well - pit lane pass?

Love the ones from above, you don't see that in an action shot very often.

Dobbo, no I didn't have any special access, the close up of Montoya was in the pit lane during the public pit walk. Schumacher was at the gate to the paddock and all the car shots were from normal grandstand seats.

Absolutely, totally and utterly stunning.

Work worthy of a pro.

Definitely jealous.

Care to enlighten us as to your kit?

Superb pics that man! Beautiful colours, really bright.

Does anyone else think that Schuey looks really old...?

It's just a Canon 300D with a 75-300 IS USM. The lens is a bit too slow in AF mode for F1 so you have to focus manually. On the plus size it's quite a cheap lens. Most of the action shots are 1/80 sec.

Taking photos in Monaco is much easier than other circuits as you're so much closer to the cars. You also see a lot more of the drivers and teams. I think Kimi Raikkonen was the only driver I didn't see wandering around this year.

Cracking shots from what I think we might refer to as 'budget' kit these days and doubly impressive panning at 1/80th.

An that overhead angle offers a unique view of just how bizarre many of the aerodynamic features are, especially when you look at the ducting and bargeboards.

I suppose the designers have to come up with something that looks like it is worth the cost of the wind tunnels!

Oh and no, I don't think MS looks old - mere stripling in my view.

Not a comment on your postings Mrs Fish, I wouldn't dare! More a case of how many crap threads I start with any poor excuse for a photo!

I really like the Fisichella shot, looks like spot colour. I think the cheat is looking old too, and JP needs a shave and some Clearasil!

The first Ferrari pic is awesome, and the rest are very good too!

I'd have been happy just to be there.
