Fleabay has supplied me with two secondhand CF 1Gb cards at good prices. Looked for private sellers with one-offs rather than the "traders" and had to be canny and get in there at the last minute! Bit of a gamble, but it worked for me!

I have a couple of recent photo mags sitting by my desk and can quickly tell you the best prices if you tell me which type of card. You are safer with a brand new card if poss.

Also use Kelkoo a lot for things like this.

Also - do you definitely need a 1GB - 2 x 512 would give you security if one should happen to fail....

I'm pretty sure we talked about this a couple of weeks ago.

Ebay is popular as is www.ebuyer.co.uk

Price wise I reckon you'll pay a couple of quid more on ebuyer, but they are not in Hong Kong, Taiwan or the US.

Currently £47.60 for 1Gb CF from www.crucial.com/uk - that includes postage via RM Special Delivery and they're great with returns.

edit: sorry, forgot the new Ixus cams take SD - it's £56.60 for 1Gb.

There you go! Crucial - a good name and a good price! Beats Corsair from Ebuyer anyway.

How's the new IXUS anyway????

Absolutely brilliant! OH

So easy to use, 7 million pixels hence the big memory card.
