Yesterday I went for a long walk with the camera and took a variety of shots. Then today I have picked some of the better ones and used various photoshoppery on some of them to try and make them a little more interesting.

Bearing in mind I don't posses any major equioment or any seperate lenses, I feel quite happy with what I have achieved. Plus I managed to wile away a good 5 hours of the day

Straight shots of flowers

Manipulated shots

I took all of them. All within a half hour walk from our house. Some of them have been manipulated in photoshop to give different textures etc.

When I am more mobile I will have ago at what you suggest, but being only 5 days from giving birth I didn't want to venture too far from home

WOW!

You're getting pretty good at this snapping-shopping lark!

Lisa,
Great shots, all of them, but that dandelion is just brilliant! It's nice to watch you improving so quickly.

Martin.

Yes, all great, but the Dandelion is tops!

Maybe you should consider joining the Clud lisa - you clearly have an eye for composition.

Unlike that Martin Geezer, who is unworthy of the Clud.

Its so nice to hear all your compliments, it makes me happy

Regards the dandelion it was more luck than anything else, I only have a sony cybershot P150 so there wasn't an awful lot of judgement/technique/talent involved in taking it.

Regarding joining the clud, I can't afford the equipment and it would be far too technical for me then

Still, its nice to hear that I am doing ok

How much of a crop is the dandelion one?
Any chance of a hi-res copy?

I really, really like this one. What a great choice of crop - beautiful colours. I'd like to see it without the noise and a bit more saturated (I presume you added the noise/grain?) but it's a cracker none-the-less!
