Good aren't they!
I got one a few weeks ago. First real outing's efforts are all here
Quality is just stunning, and the AF and IS meant even though I was shooting something else at the time, swinging around and hitting the shutter without even thinking about it still gave this short

It is truly one of the most fantastic pieces of glass.
I am now saving to buy my own one. Bye bye 100-400, hello 70-200 and teleconverter... ;-)
Read this before you ditch the 100-400
I still use my 100-400 quite a lot even though I've got the 70-200 + 1.4/2x converters too. Both have their + points, however I try to avoid using the 2x converter if I can avoid it.
Interesting reading. We did a test at 400mm with the 100-400 and with a 2x converter. The results when I enlarged to both images were the same size were that using the 400mm alone and cropping was sharper.
I have the 1.4x converter and will test it soon.
70-200 is just fabulous in so many ways. Other lenses are not getting a look in at the moment.
