The only similarity in those photos is that they are both of a moving car which happens to have the same badge on the front.
I think both photos represent the 2 general styles though.

TD, please don't think in any way I was critisizing your work, I've never seen a photo of yours I didn't like, and I'm not good enough to sit in judgement on anyone.
What I was getting at, in my left handed way, is that if we see an image here that is correct re exposure, contrast, saturation, etc, we know it's been PS'd. Your shots do look like a print using Velvia , but we all know that straight from the camera they're probably more akin to a soft Boots own film print
(Allthough it could be said your older work was a little over saturated
) I'm sorry if I caused offence.

No worries fella, I genuinely wanted to know if/why they scream photoshopped because I kind of want to avoid that..... however the main thing is do I like them? Answer:yes! Such an objective thing.
Your right though - from the camera they are a litte flat, everything sees a bit of sharpening & curves to bring to a "correct" (IMHO) level. Agreed about my older stuff being oversaturated, I think I've learned to chill with that particular one
