Interesting flash techniques. He bounces backwards over his shoulder and the results are good.

Just realised that one of my standard site for lens reviews isn't listed in here.

www.photozone.de

Useful if you want to know what a particular lens is like before you buy.

Perhaps you can explain why their on-line prices seem so high - for example: two dSLRs 13% and 22% respectively higher than the solus London main retailer.

Doesn't really make sense.

Lightroom 2 users:

Cool additional presets for retouching. As Matt K says, they're not for high quality fashion shoots, but a great and easy starting point.

I hope this is not a re-post. I did have a look and could not see it mentioned.

FotoSketcher is a nifty little (2.5mb) application that will automatically transform your digital photos into artwork. It offers a choice of styles, including pencil sketches, pen and ink, and four different painting methods. All you have to do is load a photo, zoom in or out accordingly, select a style and adjust the various settings until you're happy with the result. You can then add text to your image, along with a frame, if you so wish.
The program comes with some simple modification tools for enhancing the source image. You can then adjust the luminosity, contrast, saturation and blur/sharpness, as well as simplify the image using a median filter.

'Tis free as well. Have only had a couple of minutes with it so far, but seems to do what it says on the tin.
