Bugger, had completely forgotten about Mrs Ted...

Unfortunately, she didn't get to go on QM2,had my contract terminated just as house renovation had started - hence my poor memory. Have a pic I'll send of Mrs Ted playing with a lifeboat though!

Haven't heard anything from nonuts, I'll pm him now, hopefully I can get Mrs Ted across to Bavaria I am time.

Sorry Steve, life has been a bit challenging the last 6 weeks...
If it's too late for Germany... can you e mail Planet Claire?

I was going to update this thread this weekend to find out where Mrs Ted is. Look forward to hearing from Sway or Nonuts soon. It appears both of you are fairly local to me so could do a face-to-face handover rather than relying on the Royal Mail.

Sorry for not updating this, I guess the PM thing isn't working again as I haven't seen one.

My trip to Oktoberfest unfortunately got cancelled as the persons who's birthday it was to celebrate could no longer make it due to work.

I would say that if Mrs Ted wanted another trip to Vegas she's welcome at the end of Nov, but I think she's already been to death valley as well as Vegas!

It looks like I'm the next to receive Mrs Ted then.

Sway, PM me for my address, or I can pop down to West Sussex next weekend and collect her. Unless... do you have an MX5 and going to the national rally this weekend, I could meet you there.

Will do Claire.

Unfortunately the mx5 (well Eunos) is no more, but I'm in Chichester if you want to meet when convenient?

I met up with Sway a couple of weekends ago and we had a lovely chat over coffee, and Mrs Ted is now in my possession. She has her bags packed, which is a damn sight more than what I've done.

Who is requiring Mrs Ted on her arrival back to the UK on November 5th? Whoever you are, please can you PM me so that I have your details ready for when I get back and I can forward her on in plenty of time. Thanks.

It's marked as RoscoPCole. I'll take Ted after him. If Rosco can't take him, you can send directly to me.

Sway...did you ever take a pic?

I did, I'll get it across to you today...

Unfortunately my timing was off - ten seconds after I put Ted away the lifeboat was launched in a massive fountain of waves. Typical!

I've only just read the thread again. I am still willing and able to take Mrs Ted to Lapland. Does she have a letter to Father Christmas that she can personally deliver?
As there over a month between Mrs Ted returning on 5th November and me leaving on the 19th December is there anywhere that Mrs Ted can go between these dates?
Planet Claire you have mail.

Offered multiple times to have Ted out here in the Middle East but I guess it was too dangerous. Could have done the MotoGP here in Qatar or done a race in my touring car or gone for a ride on a camel in the Desert. Oh well. frown

Several people have said don't trust the mail in the Middle East. The one time I ignored that Ted was lost. Hence Mrs Ted is reluctant to go the way of Ted!

Indeed - I'm in the unenviable position of being the only person to let down my PH secret Santa recipient...

Sent twice and neither one received. I didn't even post smut!

Steve, will get photo across to you asap, it's on the camera memory card and the camera is buried in an unidentified box whilst we get work done on the house.

Ted-san is enjoying her trip to Japan. Here she is waiting for the next flight at Frankfurt airport last Wednesday..

Today we have been to Miyajima from Hiroshima to see the Torii gate.

Tomorrow, we go to Kyoto.

I'm heading out to the UAE for the Desert Challenge Rally end of March beginning of April.

A possibility that a Ted might actually get to the Middle East and return safely ?

I would not send Mrs Ted to the Middle East unless she travels 'First Class'.

The national postal system, even in the UAE - one of the more civillised parts - can be erratic at best. Empost have lost a few letters for me.

If you send by Royal Mail/Parcelforce/UPS it inevitably ends up in the hands of Empost.

Nowadays I only use Aramex Shop and Ship, or the likes of DHL for my shipping, it's a bit more expensive but trackable and will show up at your door.

Unfortunately a bad experience for the Ted family has now left a bitter taste in the mouths of Mrs Ted's handlers and therefore she will be missing out on the likes of Ferrari World, the Dubai Fountains, tallest building in the world, skydiving over the palm, swimming with dolphins and driving on 2 wheels down the Sheikh Zaid Road.....

Shame really.
