Yeah very proud of them
Ah ok, maybe it's time I invested some time in post production? To be honest I am very lazy and very rarely do anything at all with any of my pictures
I had a quick play with one of them and to my eye the result was worth the effort - nothing fancy, just removed the colour cast and brightened it Ah ok, maybe it's time I invested some time in post production? To be honest I am very lazy and very rarely do anything at all with any of my pictures

Another welcome Ben . You have gorgeous little girls.
Post your edit DD
Yes please do, I had a little play on PS Elemants 3.0! I've never really bothered with PP but anythings worth exploring and learning Post your edit DD

Had a quick impromptude photo shoot with my daughters at the weekend when the wife said 'take a nice picture of the girls, I want..... - you've got until 10:45' Which gave me around 40 minutes to hang the duvet above the bed, dig out my big round reflector and try to get something with the bright morning sunlight coming through the bedroom window.
I'm not set up for portraits and normally do candids 'in the field' to be honest but overall I'm happy with the results

I think the hardest thing is getting a natural expression that comes over in the photos. Better use of time rather than pissing about too much in editing swI'm not set up for portraits and normally do candids 'in the field' to be honest but overall I'm happy with the results

Completely your call, but a very quick edit using Levels.
And another using Curves and a hue/saturation adjustment layer

Look how soft thumbsnap is compared to Flickr !
That's an interesting conclusion. Are they the same photos?Ben - Am I right in thinking that your camera is set to shoot in the Adobe RGB colour space?
The web tends to work in sRGB and the differences can be subtely annoying if not handled by something somewhere along the processing line. Just a thought that may be worth considering.

The whole subject is not quite a simple as that .... but it's easiest to think that it is.
