^^^ Cute as hell Ben! Maybe a wee bit dull though - try whacking up the brightness ?
Yeah very proud of them smile

Ah ok, maybe it's time I invested some time in post production? To be honest I am very lazy and very rarely do anything at all with any of my pictures smile

I had a quick play with one of them and to my eye the result was worth the effort - nothing fancy, just removed the colour cast and brightened it thumbup

Yes please do, I had a little play on PS Elemants 3.0! I've never really bothered with PP but anythings worth exploring and learning smile

1 - Using the 'Auto Smart Fix' button

2 - Removing the Colour

3 - Things got serious adjusting the brightness and contrast

4 - Then balls deep playing with the levels graph thingy! I quite like this one smile

Yeah last one is really good Ben. They are cute!

Don't convert stuff to black and white just because the levels aren't perfect though.

Don't be that guy hehe

Had a quick impromptude photo shoot with my daughters at the weekend when the wife said 'take a nice picture of the girls, I want..... - you've got until 10:45' Which gave me around 40 minutes to hang the duvet above the bed, dig out my big round reflector and try to get something with the bright morning sunlight coming through the bedroom window.

I'm not set up for portraits and normally do candids 'in the field' to be honest but overall I'm happy with the results smile

I think the hardest thing is getting a natural expression that comes over in the photos. Better use of time rather than pissing about too much in editing sw

Completely your call, but a very quick edit using Levels.

And another using Curves and a hue/saturation adjustment layer

That's an interesting conclusion. Are they the same photos?

Ben - Am I right in thinking that your camera is set to shoot in the Adobe RGB colour space?

The web tends to work in sRGB and the differences can be subtely annoying if not handled by something somewhere along the processing line. Just a thought that may be worth considering.

The camera is set on Adobe RGB which I did when I first bought it way back when, probably if my current logic is similar purely because I use Adobe PS Elements when I(can be motivated to) edit my photo's smile

No problem with Adobe RGB when editing with printing in mind if doing you own printing so that you are controlling what is going on. However for web display purposes and, iirc, many online print companies the loaded file is likely to be better to view if created using sRGB. (Or better still thier own proofng profiles.) Many times the differences are very small but sometimes they stand out a lot with a tendency to make the images a bit flat and lifeless and not as vivid as they might be. I'm not just talking about saturation, more a colour imbalance which, in fact, is pretty much what the effect becomes.

The whole subject is not quite a simple as that .... but it's easiest to think that it is. wink
