A globular springtail (~2mm). Lots of these around, even through the cold weather. This one on the underside of a piece of bark. I've put out several pieces to attract them.

Very nice. Wishing I hadn't lent my MPE out to a mate seeing that!

A boring flower from me.

^ good work up there smile

I normally stick the mp-e away for the winter, but snapped this shot a couple of days ago (a quick one as I was leaving to go out with the kids).

A surprising number of beasties around even at this time of year.

The 6D + MPE-65 combination is looking very very promising biggrin

Still finding lots of springtails, but not much else. Looking forward to the warmer weather!

Lovely stuff all. Ed, that last springtail is a cracker!

My first bug of the year, not much around my garden at the moment.

Back to insects! A wingless wasp, pretending to be an ant (about the same size)! Never seen one of these before:

A first attempt at Macro using extension tubes. Quite tricky to work with due to the extremely shallow depth of field.
