As there seems to be a lot of interest in Macro Photography on here at the mo thought it may be a good idea to have a Macro Photo thread to run along side the Random and Portrait ones What do you lot think ? I'll start it off then hopefully some one will add some decent stuff. Ian

Perhaps not strictly macro - this agate and silver thingy is 26mm tall:  However I have no idea what it is!

Nice shots Kermit  I use the Canon 100mm f2.8 (with extension tubes sometimes), but mostly the MP-E65mm. Another non-insect, shot with the 100mm

 Lots of praise!  I'm not sure it's justified compared to some on here though!  This is definitely my favourite form of photography. There's something special about being able to take an apparently completely mundane back garden and transform it into this amazing little world of detail. All of mine are taken on a Canon 450D with 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens and ringflash (both Canon).

A Couple from yesterday   Both taken with Sony A200 Tamron SP90 F11 1/250 with Sony flash gun velcro strapped to lens hood All C+C helpful thanx. Ian
