Fly with fluid droplet. Not sure what's going on here (must find out), but have found that they're much less likely to fly off when doing it.

AFAIK These are 'Fly Spit' full of digestive juices,to be deposited on any food source so it can be 'sooked up later'.

Thanks Strudel!

A couple of more of a Vine Weevil i think?

I'm a bit annoyed with these as i think the colours of the flower overpower the subject, hence trying a couple in monochrome, but i'm not sure if it works. I would appreciate people's opinions on them smile

I've never seen one of those little fellas! Yeah the colour ones are great. They don't overpower the subject in my eyes, they add an interesting background.

Is it possible to tame a wasp? And is it possible to do it in about 20 minutes? If so, I've done it. Before the downpour today I noticed a wasp was loitering around in my garden for about an hour. I decided to put a drop of sugar water on a plant he was near and see what happened. He ended up staying on this plant long enough for my to set up all my macro gear and a silver reflector. I then proceeded to do a portrait style photo shoot of the wasp for the next hour or so. I'm probably very weird, but the whole thing was fascinating to me hehe. There is another folder of shots I haven't looked at yet that were full body shots but I'll have a look at them later.

Cheers Neil. It's times like yesterday and the shots above that make all the money that you pretty much personally made me spend on macro equipment, worth it. hehe

Straying away from bugs and flowers now. Some peanut M&M's had been winking at me so had a little photoshoot before devouring them!
