Did you get any hassle for using a tripod around Canary wharf?

Thanks for the comments, and yes the security guards did take a bit of an interest in me. Stopped 3 times at between 5am and 6am. I think initially I was ok, but once they'd spotted me they just followed me around on CCTV. Seems to be just Cabot Square, One Canada Square, outside Reuters and the old Lehman brothers building they get uptight about. Go eitherside of West India Quay or South Quay and they seem a little easier. Fun trying to dodge them though, although after the third 'chat' decided to call it a day. Will be back soon though !!!

There are some crackers on this thread. I've been delving into it a bit more of late:

Cracking shots. Best so far in my mind and that car looks the absolute business in matte wrap!!

I have tried to coax a local with a GTR out for a freebe photoshoot but no response as yet. I doubt I will get that sort of quality tho.

ETA: Good use of the new pimp my ride blue bus neons!!

Darkest place I could find but nonetheless outside on the Queen's highway

Experimenting with longer focal lengths on long exposures, no stability issues at 200mm on Manfrotto 055 over 30sec

Some of my night shots.

Shot with a D300.

All the rest shot with a D40 and a cheap as chips tripod.

I had to see where you were based to make sure it wasnt the lovely skyline of Teesside. Really need to get out and capture some more industry shots.

They are incredible. They almost look like super realistic anime style drawings. Love them! Wouldn't mind them full size as my background actually wink

Thank you!

This was taken in Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, I sold the image to the company too!

Can you spot it?
http://www.growhow.co.uk/content.template/1/1/Corp...

It paid for the D40 outright!

Hi RobbieB,

I can't offer them as wallpapers just yet as they have exclusive rights to a magazine for a short while, sorry!

Cheers,

Dean

LOVE these nights shots... exactly the reason why Iam saving for a DSLR at this very moment.. why they cannot fit compacts with a "bulb" button, will never understand... (although I am sure there IS a reason!)
