Fantastic work guys!

Just a quick question though, what sort of gear were you using? I fancy booking onto one of the dates but i'm a bit hessistant as i only have a pesky Canon 450d
Nikon D80 with kit lens. Nothing flash.

I was using a 400D, you wont have any problems with a 450.

I'm sorely tempted...old school 350d be up to the job? Newer kit 18-55 IS lens on it

350D will absolutely be up to the job, you'll learn very quickly on the day that these photos are good because of the effort and time put into to lighting rather than the camera you've got. Obviously bigger = better, but i would be supprised if anyone with any kind of DSLR came away dissappointed.

Just to let you kmow that the August session is now sold out, and the September one only has a couple of places available.

We are taking reservations for a late October session at the moment though.....

Thought about creating a duplicate layer you can gently blur, then brushing it on to the original using a mask? You may want to clean up the worst floor defects before applying the blur.

Might I be the first to share the results from this Saturday's (22nd May 2010) studio shoot...unless it's been posted elsewhere.

Firstly, plenty of thanks to Garlick, Pete Spinney and everyone who was there (especially Chris and Steve who helped with the lights for my '5).

In the morning we had the opportunity to shoot a Mercedes Benz SL 350 Night Edition, complete with £4k matt black paint option. Would you believe that there's around ten lights at work in this shot:

...and here's the instructions that were given about keeping the paintwork clean...

Here's my M5, post Photoshop:

...which combined these two photos...

I'm not sure the mash up shot works. I think I should've turned the lights off, as the headlights in the mash up throw a bit of confusion into the background. Would love to hear any thoughts though.

Anyway, a Carrera S...

Up close with a Megane Sport

A beautifully clean Carrera 4S, sponsored by Johnson's Baby Wipes...

The SL, with a bit of light painting, and Photoshop. Tidy footwork by myself in this shot:

Slightly less tidy footwork this time around:

Lunch, and a very high quality biscuit selection:

And finally, the Studio itself:

Most disappointing part of the day - we forgot to do a group shot!...but anyway, looking forward to Fordo's video when he's ready.

More shots, plus larger versions, can be found on my Flickr pages.

...and finally a thanks to the wife, who's spared me the time to do all this!

...and not wanting to steal Fordo's timelapse thunder, I took my GoPro Hero HD along to capture the comings and goings.

Sadly, although the footage isn't too bad, it shows some of the current pitfalls of the GoPro camera. Set to single shot mode, every 2 seconds, the camera soon shot 999 snaps - the limit of the file system, despite a 32Gb card inside....and I only noticed this 33 minute limit after an hour! I only had the one SD card so had to reformat it and start again.

So, I reset the GoPro to shoot every 30 seconds, and got two and half hours out of the camera. Then the battery juice expired.

Thanks to Fordo, I had about 45 minutes across lunch to (USB) charge it, and that gave me one more hour of post-lunch footage. I understand a firmware update will allow filming whilst charging...and this will be very handy.

Anyway, here it is...apologies for the "fireworks":

By the way, what does the red "STOP" icon mean on the Photography & Video frontpage next to this thread - should I not be posting here? I can't find any information about it?
