First test of my new toy ( T16A teleconvertor ) and this happened in front of me....not perfect as I was fumbling to set exposure and shutter speed correctly.

This is a great shot, really cool behaviour to capture Grebe_Fishing by natureiser, on Flickr
Few from me recently:
Chafinch (Fringilla coelebs) by South West Wildlife, on Flickr
Lovely coloured pheasant I've started seeing at work:
Pheasant (Phasianus colchicus) by South West Wildlife, on Flickr
And Bullfinches really are mocking me at the moment...this is the best I can do for now!
Male Bullfinch (Pyrrhula pyrrhula) by South West Wildlife, on Flickr
And a couple more from today, best woodpecker I've ever managed:
Male Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) by South West Wildlife, on Flickr
Wasn't ready for this and have sadly cropped his head slightly!

Some from yesterday - all accidentally taken at 800 ISO unfortunately as I forgot to reset it from the night before

Can't seem to be able to get close to the coal tits or bullfinches.

I normally rely heavily on cropping as I only have a 70-200mm f4 lens at my disposal, but not when I've shot them at such a high ISO. Better luck next time maybe

Nice shot.
There's a little Chromatic Aberation evident on the beak. The image can live with it as it is but I'm interested to know if fixing it makes any difference to the detail in the feathers.
Have you tried it? If so, what happened?

No I haven't tried fixing it, I can't see it on the original, all I can see is what looks like the light reflection on the beak as this was taken with the bird in the shade. I would have thought there would be a slight loss of detail if I removed the CA. The shot was taken from behind double glazing, so I can't expect it too be too good for detail.

ETA: I downloaded the largest version and experimented a little. It didn't make much difference although I could get a tad more sharpening to work in the feather detail but had to look hard to see the difference. There might be a bit more to gain if starting from a RAW file if one was being very picky and prepared to work for it.
